What is SPC?

Statistical process control (SPC) should be understood as an approach to optimize production and service processes based on statistical methods.

SPC is normally used with software support. Three types of software are used here. Firstly, general computer software such as spreadsheets or statistical packages, and secondly, comprehensive end-to-end CAQ solutions such as the Quality Miners.CAQ. However, dedicated SPC and CAQ products can reduce the workload and enable centralized evaluation: SPC software is usually preconfigured with manufacturer-specific rules and can read measurement data directly from measuring tools and machines, while the CAQ system has other quality management modules . FMEA includes supplier evaluation plans or multi-step process control plans and articles.
